Garlic: easy ways to work with it by Mom
Submerge whole head of garlic in cold water and soak before using. This makes it separate and the skins come off easier.
Cast Iron Skillet: Purchase and season new by Mom
I've been wanting to buy a cast iron skillet so here's what I found:
When looking to purchase a cast iron skillet: look for helper handle on far side of skillet because it's a heavy pan.
Some brands come pre-seasoned but if they don't, you have to season it.
Drizzle oil on bottom of pan. Use a paper towel to wipe around everywhere inside pan. For even seasoning, invert on baking sheet (put upside down). Put in oven on 250 degrees for several hours or all day. When it is done and cool, the surface is glistening and non-stick. Every once in a while, season your pan again.

Fettuccini by Angela
1/2 stick of butter
1 cup whipping cream
1 1/2 cup parmesan cheese
Salt, pepper, and parsley (optional)
First put in 1/2 stick of butter with 1 cup whipping cream. Bring to a boil then simmer for 6 minutes and remove from heat. Stir in 1 1/2 cup parmesan cheese with salt, pepper, and parsley as desired. I usually stir it in with a whisk. Then pour over the top of noodles and mix.

Granola Bars By Ashley
Homemade Granola Bars:
2c Cereal (I like using Raisin Bran Crunch or Special K w/fruit or yogurt)
2c Quick Cooking Oats (I prefer old fashioned)
1c Craisins (or other dried fruit)
1/4c Chia Seeds
1/2c Packed Brown Sugar
2/3c Honey
2/3c Peanut Butter (I prefer crunchy)
1t Vanilla
1t Cinnamon
You can also add nuts, seeds, m&ms, candy, or chocolate chips of any kind to make it your own.
In a large bowl stir together cereal, oats, craisins, chia seeds, and cinnamon.
Grease a 9x13 baking dish or a couple of cookie sheets (depending on how thick you want them)
Combine the brown sugar and honey in a small saucepan over medium heat. Heat until just boiling then remove from heat and stir in peanut butter and vanilla until smooth.
Pour over cereal & oat mixture and mix well.
Press into baking dish or cookie sheets. Allow to cool then cut & serve.

Pasta Salad by Ruthanne
Rotini noodles
Cucumbers-sliced
Olives-cut in half
Onions-chopped
Zesty Italian Dressing
Boil rotini noodles. Rinse noodles with cold water Add cucumbers, olives and onions. (Bradley doesn't like the onions.) Then add zesty Italian dressing. Pop in refrigerator for a few hours to get cold. Then you're good to go.
For Ruthanne's sealing, I made enough for a punch bowl and used:
2 16 oz boxes Rotini noodles
3 cucumbers, slicked
2 cans olives, cut in half
1 and 1/2 bottle Zesty Italian Dressing
